Fabrication and Characterization of Passive Sampler using Polymeric Inclusion Membrane (PIM) as Diffusion Layer for Phosphate Measurement

<p>The PIM-passive sampler is a passive using PIM as diffusion layer. This research aimed to optimize the concentration of plasticizer and phosphate ions in bulk solution produce for measurement with high accuracy. In this study, was made 15 ml glass bottle containing 0.2 M H<sub>2</sub>SO<sub>4</sub> receiving phase membrane. prepared by mixing polyvinyl chloride (PVC) base membrane, Aliquat 336-Cl carrier, 1-decanol plasticizer. Sampling done immersing three hours. The concentrations phases were determined regularly every 30 minutes visible spectrophotometric method at wavelength 690 nm. results showed that optimum 15% w/w. higher plasticiser concentration, oily, thus preventing analyte from contacting extractant. range ion sample could detect 0.1-1.3 mg P/L. calibration curve C<sub>TWA</sub> = 1.0664. Cs – 0.0088 correlation coefficient (R<sup>2</sup>) 0.9998. shows can be used </p>
